Car to be at auction 10/8/11
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 104 - 1975 Jaguar XJ-C 4.2
104 - 1975 Jaguar XJ-C 4.2
Estimate: £4,500 - £5,500
Registration Number: JDW 919N
Chassis Number: 2J1180BW
With only a short production run of 3 years the XJ-C model is a particular rare beast, especially in the condition of this fine example.

Manufactured on 10th June 1975 this particular example has been pampered throughout its life and remains very much in original condition with the owner reporting the car to be in excellent order. The condition of the car surely comes down to it having only covered 29,509 miles from new and has only travelled 439 miles since 1988.

The interior is finished in brown leather and shows little signs of wear and is described as being excellent. The car has resided with the current owner since 1991 where it has remained garaged and only used on dry occasions. Supplied with a current MoT certificate valid until February 2012, the history file also contains a V5 document as well as bills and receipts and was fully serviced 5 years ago.

Finished in its original paint this really is a time warp example and it can surely claim to be one of the best preserved and unrestored examples available today.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
