This 1987 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas was purchased new by the selling dealer’s relative and shows 35k miles. Finished in Cranberry over beige leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power antenna, 15″ Kent vented alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a cassette stereo, R134a-based air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows. Work performed in 2025 included replacing the tires, fuel tanks, fuel pumps, spark plugs, rear calipers, battery, and wiper motor. Rack-and-pinion power steering as well as independent rear suspension with twin-coilover damping were equipped from the factory. The front brake pads and the rear brake calipers, rear hose, and pads were replaced in 2025.

The seating surfaces are trimmed in beige leather, while burl wood accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a trip computer, front bucket seats, R134-based air conditioning, cruise control, adjustable rear reading lights, and power windows and locks. The window switches were replaced, and the air conditioning system was serviced in preparation for the sale.

The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure, voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 35k miles, all of which were added by the selling dealer and their family.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory rated at 205 horsepower and 231 lb-ft of torque. The fuel tanks, fuel transmitters, fuel pumps, battery, and the spark plugs and wires are said to have been recently replaced.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission. There is corrosion on the underside components, and oil seepage is noted.
